UNITY CEREMONIES

Also known as symbolic gestures or rituals, these can add something really special and engaging to your ceremony. There are so many options. You can “tie the knot” with a handfasting, using different coloured ropes and ribbons. You can “jump the broom”, warm special stones – there’s even one involving chocolate (as a confirmed chocoholic, I will never not champion this!)

 

Unity ceremonies can also be a perfect addition to family celebrations such as naming ceremonies and family blending ceremonies.​ Special candles can be lit, or your guests can write down wishes for your child or children which are then hung on a wishing tree. It is a superb way of involving extended family in a day that is all about celebrating love and togetherness.

 

There is no additional charge for including a symbolic element in your ceremony, though costs will be incurred for items purchased especially. We can talk this through if you decide you might like to include one.
